The flash of silver parting the waters could be a Barramundi or a Giant Trevally. Whatever. It's on your line and that’s all that matters. Most fisherman love chasing Barramundi - but no-one minds catching Mangrove Jacks, King Salmon, Giant Trevally and Queenfish.
You can fish in many designated sections of the Great Barrier Reef or you can meet Mustique on the West side of Cape York and fish in areas off Mapoon, Weipa, Aurukun and all the way down to Karumba in the bottom of the Gulf of Carpentaria.

But, if you want to visit a remote region with rivers pouring in from every angle, a wetland expanse of untouched beauty prized by anglers, then meet Mustique over in Arnhem Land, Northern Territory.
Departing from Gove (Nhulunbuy) on the North West tip of Arnhem Land, Mustique offers fishing trips to the Gulf and Arnhem Land during the dry season (usually May to November).

Imagine the experience of waking up anchored in a perfectly calm river mouth, with Queenies jumping every which way near the mangroves, while you enjoy your cooked breakfast anticipating the excitement of the day ahead.
Mustique's crew have so much local knowledge about where the fish will be biting all you need to decide is will you fish low tide or high tide?... dawn or dusk?…. the Full Moon or either side of it?
And, the best reward of all comes when our chef prepares your catch as part of the evenings’ 5 star menu – and all you have to do is re-live the experience of catching it!
